I don’t know if this has been posted anywhere else here but I haven’t seen it. This almost looks fake but then you have the Stern clips and the newspaper quotes, so I’m not sure (but that could easily be phony as well). :dubious:
I’m reminded of these for some reason.
It’s real. Happens in Africa a lot. Do a google image search on filariasis. There’s other reasons he might have the swelling, but filariasis is the most common. The cause/pathology of it is even worse.
What’s outrageous is that this man has a definite medical problem yet can’t get the surgery needed to fix it.
benefitballsack @ yahoo. com?? Sounds legit to me.
Why is the surgery going to cost one million dollars? A heart transplant only costs about $200K.
Funny, I was thinking more like this.
Luuc-KAY.
Bender: Hey Claire- want to see a picture of a guy with elephantitis of the nuts?
I can REALLY sympathize.
I recently acquired a hydrocele, a collectiion of fluid in the scrotum, which blew it up to several times its original size. Nowhere near as bad as this guy, but definitely an obstacle. Pepper Mill found it anti-arousing.
I had surgery to drain it yesterday, and am sitting here with aore balls. Fortunately, my insurance covered it, and was substantially less than a million dollars.
I don’t recommend the condition.
Howard Stern told him he should change that as it didn’t really sound good for a cause like his.
The guys is totally legit though. He is realy in a bad way. Stern and his gang were all jokes till the guy came into the studio but once they saw what the poor fucker had to deal with the toned down the jokes and got a bit serious about it.
I’m guessing surgeries are typically priced at the level of expected donations. The hospital likely conducted research and concluded someone with such a horrible rare condition will elicit enough public sympathy to be able to raise a million dollars. They will probably increase the price greatly now that he has been on Howard Stern’s show. The hospital needs to make sure all the money that is donated goes to them, and that the patient doesn’t end up with any extra free money.
Dr Evil is doing the surgery.

Totally legit story. It ran in the LVRJ here yesterday. The huffpost link in the OP has a link to the LVRJ story, in fact.
Look again at the first two words in the post you quoted.
All roads lead to Rome. How much cuttin does he need for $1M?
