You’re not just grieving her death. You’re grieving the loss of her in your life. It’s perfectly normal to want our loved ones around forever.
Scream, laugh, throw things, cry, do whatever you need to do. She sounds like a helluva lady and I’d love to hear some stories about her when you’re up to it.
No matter how old you are, it’s just wrong when a parent dies. My mom died 5 years, my dad 12, and there are still times I think “I’ll just ask Dad…No, I can’t.”
