My mom subscribed me to a religious magazine.

People, I am sorry, because I know that to some of you this is crazy because it is wasteful, but I am not redirecting the magazine or taking the magazine or hauling the magazine anywhere except my very own recycling bin, and only that for a short time until the subscription is stopped. I went online and canceled the subscription already, so there will be at most one or two more magazines coming to my door.

gonzomax, read the thread. You have posted twice now to say basically the same thing, and I will ask you again what I have posted here that indicates I plan to contradict your advice.

My mom is definitely in the category of people who will try something like this very occasionally but not make a habit of it, and we generally have a good relationship, so I don’t feel the need to be confrontational about this. I mean, yes, I have my little revenge fantasies of sending her some wildly inappropriate magazine (what IS “Blue Boy”, anyway?) but I’m not actually going to do that.

(America really is a good magazine, though.)

Redirect it to an old people’s home or a local library.

And no Scientoløgy subscriptions, even as a joke! You don’t want them getting your personal info. It will never end.

ETA Or don’t!

You are so going to HECK!!!11!!! I bet you eat Fish on Friday’s during Lent, too. SINNAR!!!

See you there!
