I’ve bought at least eight titles in the last two months. There no way in hell I’m going to get time to play even a quarter of them! I picked up Guns of Icarus a couple of days ago then X-Com yesterday. Batman Arkham series, LA Noire.
I have games on Steam that I really will likely never play. Something looks good so I buy it and never even install it. And I don’t have anywhere near the number of games that SenorBeef has.
I’m pretty sure my all-time favorite game is “Buying Games On Steam.” I probably spend more time checking out and investigating what’s on sale today than actually playing any games. I’ll buy games my system has no hope of running, just because it’s XX% off, who knows when it’ll go on sale again, and someday I’ll have a computer capable of running it.
I guess 4 games a month doesn’t really sound like much. I have nearly 40 games that I haven’t played even once.
I haven’t finished a game since Dragon Age: Origins, god help me when DA: Inquisition comes out. I had just started the Batman series when Noire went on sale. Then I heard The Secret World had something new. Then I read a thread about The Guns of Icarus. Then yesterday X-Com was half-price.
Then there’s all of the Greenlight and Early-Access stuff. I saying it’s only $5.00 or $7.00 or $20.00! There’s just too much stuff that looks too good to pass up.
And eventually they’re going to release Half-Life 3
I’m a Steam addict as well. I have bought many games because they are on sale and I might play them! Eventually. Some day. Especially the ones prices less than $10! Those are way too tempting! Heck, I rebought games I already owned on CD for less than $10 so that Steam will have it for me instead of needing CDs anymore!
I also look at sales, new games and other things a bit more than I play at times!
Fortunately, Wolfenstein and Watch Dogs are helping me play more recently!
