My name is Little Nemo and I have a Castle addiction

OK, so there WAS a little more you missed. Beckett gets on the plane, sitting in coach between a couple of fat guys, ready to be miserable the whole way, when the flight attendant informs her that she has been upgraded to first class. And who do you think is sitting up there with a drink in his hand?

So, A character we’ve grown to love is nothing but a dirty cop? that sucks.

I don’t care for these dark episodes at all. Castle is supposed to be light and fun. If they continue like this, then I’ll have to watch something else. OCD Kate that only wants revenge isn’t pretty.

My only comment on the season finale - you sons of bitches!!!

Well, I didn’t see that coming.

Nooooooo!

I turned over a few seconds(?) too late. Castle was standing there with coffee and Esposito and Ryan were laughing at him, and Castle said something like, “Very funny.”

Can anyone fill in what led up to to that?

Anyone else find the Airport shootout a bit silly?

Seems obvious two trained police officers stood a good chance against the four bad guys. Kate firing from cover, and the Captain playing hero standing there to greet them as they drove up.

I can’t envision real cops not doing that. For story purposes, the Captain could still die and avoid shaming his family. He was facing prison anyhow.

I think that’s overly harsh. He’s a copy who made a mistake as a rookie, and then devoted the remainder of his career to being the best darned cop he could be. Even with these new revelations, it’s clear that he was trying to protect both his family and Kate Beckett.

He said, “Hey, guys, I could use a hand,” so naturally, Ryan and Esposito started clapping.

My opinion:If Captain Montgomery was going to die, I’d rather it was this way. He left on his own terms with a death that meant something to him. The usual cliche would have been to have him killed on his last day on the job and the only meaning in it would have been how much it upset Beckett and Castle. It would have been just a supporting death.

And do we need to keep using spoilers? The ending has already been posted on Wikipedia.

This way he goes out like a bad ass and takes a bunch of thugs with him. Sucks about Beckett though. I mean she could survive and could have just passed out. But I don’t think it’s likely.

The Captain had been part of the cover up for years. Pretty sure he was the one that altered the records to hide his name. He may have known about the prison break and the planned execution of the convict. It’s hard to say just how deep he was in it. Dying heroically was the best possible end for him. At least his wife and kids weren’t shamed.

Seriously? In my opinion, there’s no way Beckett dies. She’s half the show. Her and Castle are the only two who are guaranteed to live. They’re the franchise.

Great episode! One of those “anything can happen” episodes. My take is that…

Beckett is dead. As dead as Mozzie was.

I figure they’ll use the bulletproof vest save. Kate wasn’t stupid. She knew the ringleaders still want her dead.

I would say Castle carrying her out of the hangar was my least favorite part of the episode. It’s like some scene from a terrible old movie wandered into the script. Maybe my favorite part was when Beckett demanded that Montgomery remove Castle and Montgomery agreed so quickly and nonchalantly that she didn’t know what to do.

I’m also thinking that

They’re going to keep up with the “Kate is dead” so she can work behind the scenes to get the head of the gang. Remember that we saw Montgomery mail those folders to someone before he went to the hanger; I think they provide proof of who was actually behind the other killings.

This was definitely my take. I thought either it was that she was playing dead, or she hit her head on something as she fell and was out cold. Didn’t watch closely enough and watched only once, so I don’t know if that could be the case.

I think you could very well be right. The fun will be finding out who all is in on it.
