I ordered a book from Barnes and Noble’s web site and here’s where it’s been so far:

Well shoot, if I were to walk that distance I wouldn’t need a book about eating healthy (and possibly loosing some weight) Yep folks, I bought a book by Suzanne Somers – people are swearing by her method.
Cool thing is, you still get to eat cheese and meat and all that good stuff I don’t eat much sugar so cutting that out of my daily intake wont be too hard on me. What is gonna kill me is less pasta – I looooooove pasta!
I always get perverse pleasure out of seeing those shipping logs, too. Although, that whole thing about how it gets to Denver at 1:17 am on Wednesday morning but doesn’t get to my house until Thursday at 6:30 pm pisses the hell out of me.
Suzanne Somers, eh? We gonna see you start doing Ab-Blaster videos anytime soon, techchick? How 'bout the bleached blond look? C’mon, we’re geeks, we’re supposed to be slighly chubby. It’s a turn on for nerd men.
(and btw… I know for me that the #1 reason I’m not a size 2 is the beer. And there aint no way in hell I’d give that up. In fact, I’m heading over to Lefthand in just a few minutes. I’ll have one for you!)
(and another ps… in reality, I don’t think my BONES would fit in a size 2! Ha! I’m gonna write a diet-and-exercise book for us geek girls…)
I second that, however I do eat too many carbs to add to the beer. If I cut back on the carbs and get a good combo of food – yes I need help with this – then hopefully I can loose a few pounds.
=============
Shipping logs, it’s like spying on the company.
One of the funniest things I ever did is call Adobe and ask them when they were shipping Illustrator. They had initially backordered my new toy.
Turns out they shipped it out overnight via DHL or whatever. I got the email that confirmed the shipping, hopped on the web site to track where it was. They had already dropped it off at my house that morning!
Had I not looked at the shipping logs it may have sat between the front and storm door for a while!
I work for an internet related company, and whenever our product fails, we have to send out a replacement. We use airborne Express. I can’t stand reading those travel logs!!! I hate telling a customer in Maine that their device has been routed from Ohio to Texas. And they have 3 more days till it reaches them. And of course they all like to call in to find out too! ughhhhh!
