My new super duper quad core lap top with Windows 7- the one I was so proud of- decided to play up today. It probably actually decided to play up earlier on but I was too dense to pick it.
When I first got it I loaded Civ on it and noted after a while that the keyboard would not work with the game. I thought old game- not Windows 7 compatible.
Today, replying to email I couldn’t type “you”. It came out “ou”. Tried several programs like Word etc and same problem- the “y” was non existent.
Girded my loins and rang the manufacturer expecting to speak to half the call centres in the world. Guy asked me what the problem was, entered my details and was arranging for a pick up when he said “The service Centre is in your suburb. You can drop it in if you like to save time.”
Took it in later in the afternoon and the have ordered me a new keyboard from Sydney. I am really impressed with the service (would have liked it better if I didn’t have to find out it was so good).
