I rarely buy lottery tickets as I’ve always believed it’s just a tax on people who are bad at math. But this summer we’ve been travelling a lot, and it seems that every frickin’ state has a lottery.
Well, I have blown a buck on a lottery ticket in each state we’ve been in. Why? Because if I did win, it’d be all over the papers how someone “just passing through” bought a ticket on a whim. I get some grim satisfaction knowing how much that will irritate the locals, especially the mouthbreathing xenophobes who have switched to cheaper beer just to be able to afford their weekly lottery habit.
Cheap entertainment, for a buck. I cackle all the way to the car.

Also, if I win the money would be nice, and thinking about spending it entertains me for at least another 1/4 mile.
