My New Place

Moving sucks!
But my new apartment is so cool. I have two really cool roommates, Carrie who is my best friends x-girlfriend who I have gotten to be really good friends with, and this dude from Italy his name I can’t even pronounce so everyone just takes half his last name of and calls him eggly.

Anyway, back to the subject, my room is about 60ft by like 15 it’s so big I’m setting up my bed on one side and like a little den on the other side with my entertainment center. Plus I have three love seats, and a chair.

I’m still painting the trim work, which there is alot of since every piece of paneling is only like a couple feet wide, so there will be all these black strips everywhere, while the rest is painted in a dark red color. And the floors are hard wood.

My only worry is I’m not going to be able to get my bed up the stairs, the doorway then you imediately start going up steps so the angle of entry for furniture and stuff is kinda restrictive, but the couches fit, so I’m hoping i can squeeze my bed through too.

Well anyway I just had to share my excitement for this new place, my little brother who is in 10th grade was there yesterday helping me paint and when he first walked in he said “dogg this is off the hook,… phat for real” —he thinks he is a thug or something but really he is just a little punk.

Anyway, any cool decorating ideas would be greatly appreciated

So…

Are you keeping the bedroom setup you had before?
[sub] If so, you are SO invited to my next post party  [/sub]

Congrats on your new place!

hardygrrl–yes of coarse that will stay the same,…you know I still have some painting to do if you wanta come help, the walls might not be the only thing that gets painted though.

abbysthrnaccent–thanx
Also Eggly (roommate) said if you take liquid tide and smear it on the walls it will glow under a black light. If this actually works I’ll do all the black strips with this stuff, so I’ll have a visual trip every time I turn on the black light. (-:

And today I went over there to do a little work and the two air conditioners (one on each end of the room) kept on throwing the breaker every time if there was something else on down stairs. Is there anything I can do except run a new line to the breaker box?

Do you mean literally or is painting a metaphor for something a little more fun?

That’s true. Two of my ex-roommates took liquid Tide and splattered it on the walls so it would glow. It did, the one time we used a black light. The other 364 days of the lease, the walls looked like shit because there were spots of dried liquid Tide all over. Keep that in mind.

(I wanted to put it on the ceiling in the form of constellations. They decided it was more fun to write ‘REDRUM’ on the walls. You can see why I no longer live with them.)
