Not to hijack but does anyone have any recommendations for my draft pick? I am number 7 out of a twelve team league.
I was considering George if he were still there?
I am not worried about QB. I was thinking about picking up 2 of the following mid round: Culpepper, McNabb, Cade McNown, Kerry Collins.
I draft at 4 PM today. SOOOOOOOO nervous. Its time to start drinking. Damn work.
Grendel69, we could sit here all day and give advice, but when it comes down to it it really depends on what’s selected before you. As noted above there’s always some picks that just don’t jive with your personal depth chart.
Pretty much my advice is to take the best available athlete in the first round, regardless if he’s a QB, RB, or WR. In our draft (held August 20th, too early but it was the only day that would work), the first picks went like this: Warner, Manning, Favre, McNair, B.Johnson, E. James.
Obviously many people were anxious to get one of those top 5 QB’s. Surprised the hell out of me. I picked 10th and got Eddie George for chrissake (a steal in my opinion)! I then turned around and got Marcus Robinson and Eric Moulds with my next two picks to shore up the receiver area. I didn’t take my 1st QB until round 6 and got McNown, later picking up Kerry Collins as a back-up.
By the way, this is a twelve team league with only two rookie owners (only one of which picked in the top 6 mentioned above).
Oh, and you may to check out The Huddle. They have several mock drafts so you can try to get an idea of how people are picking.

I think I got some steals in Akers and Charles Johnson. I am hoping that Culpepper or Mcnabb has a solid season. I was ticked that someone did steal Plaxico Burress though…
Minor point here, but I was under the impression that Davis was backup to Terry Allen those years.
As for the skins defense, we’ll see. The offense should do pretty well.
