My pet has a pet.

Wednesday night my cat found a black fury caterpillar. It was his me-owing at it that caught my attention.

Not being fond of bugs in my house, I picked it up and set it on my back porch. No sooner than I shut the back door the kitty bolts outside (through the doggy door) to continue play with his new friend.

At the time I thought to myself: “Welp, that’s one dead bug.” So you can imagine my surprise when the next night, I happen to look out my back door, I see kitty playing with his fury friend again.

And this morning when I got up. There he is again! (Cat wasn’t there this time)

That’s one lucky little bug. I can’t believe my cat didn’t kill him.

My cat loves moths - she doesn’t play with them, though - she just eats them. I wonder what she’d do with a caterpillar?

Wait a few weeks?

Roddy

I once had a vet tell me to get my dog a pet. Seriously; dog was chewing on his arm, Vet said it was because dog was bored, despite being with 2 humans and countless toys all day long, not to mention a huge backyard.

We’re suckers, so we bought our dog a pet. He got a pug puppy. It seemed to work; he stopped chewing on his arm.

So how long did the pug’s limbs last?

It’s a valid question, Senator, why won’t you answer it?

I think cats think of insects not so much as pets but as wind-up toys. They really love the jerky jittery movements.

Pug’s limb’s are just fine! If anything, I think the puppy tortured him more than he tortured the puppy. Boredom was no longer a problem.
