My phone won't recharge

No its not because the battery has lost its rechargability. I have to put my phone in an odd position to get it to recharge. It has to sit up, elevated from the base by about 10 or 15 degrees and be pushed back into the receiver in order for the “Charging” light to come on. Right now its got a pencil shoved under it (conveniently between the buttons) and is pushed against one of my speakers to keep the phone back against the receiver. I thought it was just the LED that was messing up, but I left it on overnight and it was dead the next morning. I leave it on a little bit with it leaning like I described, and it will work a little bit before dying.

Any ideas?

Oh and BTW this is my anniversary, and I’m expecting a gazillion hour phone call from my girlfriend. Otherwise I’d just buy a new $10 phone.

Happy anniversary!

Hvae you checked the contacts? They are probably either bent or dirty. Try cleaning by scrubbing with an old dry toothbrush, that should get any gunk off. Look closely to see if any of the prongs are bent. You may need a new recharger
