Irving is home, but it’s not looking good. She was on IVs for 6 days and her kidney values are still sky high.
Right now, she’s curled up purring in my arms. There’s a reason I call her the barnacle. She might not make it to Christmas.
Everyone at the vet’s had to comment how mellow and loving she is. And they discovered that it’s fun to sing duets with her. Sing a piece of a song and stop for a second and she’ll add a meow. Then sing. Meow. Sing. Meow. The vet said that every time he or a tech passed her cage they’d do a little routine.
Damn.
Waaah!

I’m very sorry to hear that, good thoughts coming both of your ways.
Tonights update, he’s starting to sniff a few things but still not eating. He’s talking a lot like he wants something…so maybe we’re almost there.

Did they give him cyproheptidine or valium to stimulate his appetite? He really needs to eat. Have you tried the kitty liquid diet stuff? There’s Rebound (unfortunately backordered) or clini-care. There may even be an over-the-counter kitty milk stuff you could get, not the kitten infant formula but something milk-like that’s manufactured for cats.
