It’s my own damned fault, too.
On Saturday, lno and I took our aussies to a local ASCA show (ASCA is our parent breed club and they run conformation shows, obedience, herding and agility trials). It was an outdoor show, at a venue that I really really like.
It was a GORGEOUS day, hot but with a really strong breeze. Just enough to trick you into believing it wasn’t all that hot or sunny. HA! Now - I’m a natural redhead. I don’t tan. The only “tan” I get in the summer are my freckles spreading, I swear. Knowing this, I wore sunscreen. All should be well, yeah?
NO. See, the catch is that the medication I am currently on for my back INCREASES PHOTO-SENSITIVITY.
Next time, I am bloody well highlighting this fact on the pill bottles and all the documentation the pharmacist bloody well gives me. GAH! The burn is bad enough, but today, the itch has set in. I am going OUT OF MY MIND. I have tried sooth-a-caine, straight up aloe, calamine lotion… and I’m out of oatmeal. Oh, and benadryl, too. In a few days, the blistters are gonna blooooow and it will be lovely. My skin is already nice and rubbery and bumpy from the forming blisters.

SAVE ME FROM MYSELF.
(On the upside, my little girl went Winners Bitch and now sits pretty on top of all her points, still lacking majors, but currently the top winning altered non-CH bitch in the midwest) (Oh, and since I’m ranting, said little bitch went out to play frisbee with lno yesterday and came home with two blown front pads, one which ended up needing to be trimmed up. Now she walks veeery gingerly. Damned dog. Self-inflicted wound for her, too!)
