My son has a four point oh gpa...

I am so impressed! We have had so much trouble with his grades in past years. So much so, that my husband, who was a stay-at-home dad, homeschooled him from 9th grade through the 11th. We decided he was ready to go back for his senior year. And now for 2 grading periods he has all A’s in all of his classes! Granted, most of them are electives, as we had focused on academics in home school. But still!

He’s a good kid. His dad taught him well. He taught him how to study, and how to write. Important stuff!

Hey, that’s great news. Well done to your boy.

Awesome!! I remember when I showed my mom my 4.0 grades for my second year (in a row) in college, she just said “Well, I should hope so.”

It totally crushed me. Be sure you let him know how proud you are!

In the words of Charles Dillon Stengel, “You done splendid!”

Congratulations to mom, pop, and the boy-o!

A great accomplishment! Tell your son that we are all proud of him.

Congratulations!

But what’s a GPA? I don’t think we do them in Canada; at least we didn’t when I was in school…

Grade point average. IIRC, the values are:
A- 4
B- 3
C- 2
D- 1
F- 0

so he got all A’s.

Congrats!

I’ll second this. Positive reinforcement is gigantic. Regardless of how easy his classes might be, it takes a lot of effort to get perfect grades.
