Hey guys, my stepmom is going to tape a segment for Billo’s show in about 90 minutes. Topic: Florida sting on prostitutes who advertised on Craigslist.
Can anyone point me directly to Billo saying or writing ANYTHING on the following topics:
Prostitution
Personal Freedom
Protection of children
The sting referred to that is the topic.
The goal: get him to shut off her mic. Because we know Billo only does that when the person he’s talking to is making too much sense for him to argue with! And the best way to do it is to come armed with information. Since Billo is one of the biggest hypocrites on earth, talking out of both sides of his mouth, having a solid idea of what he’s said and where he’s coming from is key.
In the pit in anticipation of rude remarks about Billo, because really, when does his name come up where people don’t want to make rude remarks? The guy is disgusting.
What, hoping one pompous uninformed windbag will cancel out another, like two negatives making a positive? I don’t think it works that way in real life.
Don’t you remember, when a guy called in and started to say “I think you and Keith Olbermann have the two best shows”, or something like that, and all he got to say was “I think you and Keith Olbermann-” and was cut off, and Darth Falafal threated to sic Fox security on the guy? And he was actually contacted by the latter?
Besides, Keith’s better looking.
No, I didn’t see that, maybe that’s why I didn’t get the joke :). I don’t generally watch O’Riley or Oblermann. Every time I have followed a link to either one (from here or elsewhere), I have found them to be two sides of the same coin: pompous windbags pushing their own particular agenda of partisan hate without regard for facts, reality, what might actually be good for the country or anything other than blindly propping up their own party’s grab for power. They are both consummate snowball artists and incurable sycophants.
Also, Dave, I think what you mean to say was that both men seek sycophants, not that they ARE such. Although I think Billo might be a Bush sycophant… (sycophant means suckup, basically)
I can’t 'cause, I don’t watch either, but these guys have several years worth in their rather obsessive (crazy-biased and I’m sure not the least bit fair) website.
Olbermann is full of hate, which is fine. Hell, there’s been posts here praising his bile-filled rants. It plays in Peoria, ya know?
Thank you Stoid, I know exactly what a sycophants is. :rolleyes: Both men suck up shamelessly to those in power in their respective parties. The fact that they may seek to surround themselves with people who suck up to them is beside the point.
And no, I don’t have any specific example to offer you. As I said, my exposure (to both men) has been of the nature of reading a post that says something along the lines of “Hey, go check this out! O’Reilly/Olbermann really nailed whatever here”, and when I go check out the link, I find that it’s usually (not always, both men have made decent points in spite of themselves at times) the same old partisan shit that’s tearing this country apart.
Actually, I do have a sort of example. I recall seeing a clip of Keith ranting on about something that Bush had done (I’ll be honest and admit that I don’t recall what; if you pulled off my socks and tickled my feet I’d venture that it was some signing statement that Bush had made or something like that), and how that was it, Congress had no choice but to impeach him now. Now, whatever it was that Bush had done was something that Keith obviously disagreed with, but it was far from being anything that even approached the standards of impeachment as set forth under the Constitution (to stave off the inevitable partisan slings and arrows that are sure to follow, let me say that I feel exactly the same about the partisan witch hunt that got Clinton, ok?) that it wasn’t even funny, and on that basis I found his entire diatribe to be factually without merit and nothing more than a rabble rousing attempt to enrage the left. I know that’s not a cite, but it’s the best I have to offer unless I care to dig through a mess of Olbermann clips and quite frankly, I don’t.
I see that, in your typically underhanded way, you have again sidestepped the real issue. Namely, that Olbermann is way cuter than O’Reilly. You can’t make facts go away just by ignoring them, Dave!
Ummm… you equate disagreeing with his call to impeach based on X with being factually incorrect about X? Seriously? Really? Cuz, like, they aren’t even close, ya know.
