My thanks to a stranger

I ran out of gas on a busy corner yesterday. A young lady walked over with a cell phone and offered its use. I thanked her, but pointed to the gas station half a block away. She then offered to help push my car into the right turn lane. I looked at this merest slip of a girl, then at my Taurus, then at the hill we’d be pushing it up, and suggested she’d better steer. Sometimes you just need some heft to do this stuff and heft is something she lacks. OTOH, I have to push myself around all the time, so what’s a car, too?

But that was awful nice of her to help a stranger like that. Hell, she wasn’t even in one of the cars I was blocking! But it also reminded me of how cute Maronite women are. No wonder they keep themselves so covered up! Especially their hair. I know that, under that shawl, she has long, wavy, raven tresses. Something best left to the imagination as the reality is just TOO distracting!

Worked with a Jewish woman who was going through one of her Orthodox periods and told me that it was best that she kept her hair covered or else a glimpse would force me to leave my wife. Well, since I had seen her hair plenty of times before and after, and it was NOT “raven tresses,” I managed to stay married.

(Hmmm, I not only managed to hijack myself but I managed to hijack my HIJACK! Oh, well.)

Anyway, thanks, miss. I appreciate your help.
