So I cut my right index finger, right at the joint between the tip and the middle phalange (if I am naming that correctly). Oh sure, no big deal you say, but as a right-handed person, you know how often I use that spot? I sure didn’t until it got hurt:
Unscrewing the toothpaste tube really hurts (hey, the grippy part of the cap digs in - it’s not funny!)
Opening tab rings - we buy cat food for our cat that has pull-tabs. Where do the rings dig in when I have to pull up? You guessed it.
Opening food jars - don’t get me started.
Using a wash cloth - who knew that scrubbing a kid’s face could hurt my finger?
Okay - share with my your trivial yet irritating injury…
I guess I have an ingrown toenail – not sure cuz I never had one before – but it hurts like a bloody freakin’ toothache. The only shoes I can wear are soft moccasins without socks. I take off the moccasins whenever possible (like when my feet are hidden under my desk), but it turns out that if you don’t wear socks, your shoes get real smelly real fast. The least little bump to the toe area makes me want to scream in pain. I hope it fixes itself soon.
I got a burn on my right palm, right where the thumb streaches. Everytime I used my thumb my burn would streach, making it hurt like hell again. Do you know how hard it is to ice it? Normaly I hold the ice with my right hand, but I couldn’t do that because the burn was on my right hand. And I couldn’t do anything while icing it.
