My "Unread" count is perpetually 1

I’ll wait until I have another notification to confirm, but I’m 99.9% sure that button just means it marks all of them as read.

I can confirm. I had one “stuck” notification, probably because of a notification for a reply to me in a thread that was later deleted, and after hitting the button I no longer had the “1” bubble, but the history was all still there in my menus.
