Recently, I asked here how to solve a problem with Firefox 2.0: a website opened in my Bookmark window and wouldn’t go away.
At the same time, I also wrote to the offending website people, and to Firefox, as well.
People here at SDMB were more or less as bemused as I was. One Doper suggested I get into Organize Bookmarks, and although I still think the solution might be in there somewhere, I couldn’t find it.
Sergey, from the conversion site replied to my email, but he was also buffaloed, and swore it wasn’t his site’s fault.
Well, just a little bit ago, I got an update from Firefox, which I downloaded.
Then I went online and checked out my Bookmark window - only now, since I got tired of looking at the fraction of that damn web page, I changed it to my History Window. Went back to the Bookmark view to find that the conversion page was gone and there were my bookmarks, all taking deep breaths from being sat on for so long.
Just thought I’d tell the folks who tried to help, and say thanks for trying.
