Ok, you piece of shit? Suddenly, for no fucking reason, all of my bookmarks that were not inside sub-folders are gone. Tried restarting, everything I could think of to know avail.
WTF, Firefox? You’ve been good to me, why you gotta go and fuck with my on this? I mean, it’s not like my bookmarks were important, not like I was trying to, you know, remember a web site or something.

Pikey’s Bookmark Backup. Search for a bookmark(s?).html file, see if you can recover it, is my advice. You may have to re-import.

I had something similar happen to me about a month ago. I clicked to open a new Firefox window and it gave me a message saying that my profile was in use and that I’d have to select a different user. I just typed in a new one, but when I did all my bookmarks and settings had been erased. I hadn’t upgraded or anything and I lost all my stuff. Even a file search didn’t turn up anything
When I go back after the holiday I’ll try using E-Sabbath’s utility. Hopefully that will work.
Close Firefox.
Start > Run.
Type in ‘firefox.exe -profilemanager’
Select “default.”
That should be it.
That happened to me once, too. I think I just restarted my computer, and it let me on as normal. In the meantime, however, i had shat my pants.
