At least, if you’re asking for advice on how to navigate this with the greatest likelihood of paving the way toward peace in the near future, that’s how you should play it, regardless of what you may or may not actually think.

It really is unclear if the poster meant this reaction just for this unique situation or as standard response to ALL situations. This poster should clarify.

Same as poster #2. Also to add: Maybe poster #2 and #3 realize that apologizing first is the best remedy in order to reopen communication between spouses and become a new starting point to solve the issue(s) at hand. At least I can see that way as well. But let them clarify whether or not they meant that…don’t just broadbrush them as disingenuous placaters yet.
