Is Blaster usually this nonsensical, contradictory, and wrong?
<snippped>
only if he can do gettyburg while garglng.
This is old news but I typed it so you get to read it anyway.
Lynching someone that just happened to get a message regarding a player ** they didn’t target ** is NOT going to tell us anything. That I can see?
This Day has blown the heck up I don’t have my notes and I did agree with most of what
** TexCat ** had to say here

I need to get a vote in today. I may have time/insight to change it before EOD but I didn’t want to let work make me invisible
** Vote Inner **
At this time he appears Scummiest to me.
I’m trying to catch up on all the wagons
These are exactly the sort of wild assumptions that have been flying all over the place Today.
In this game, the various sorts of Cop (assuming the exist) get whatever information the Mod has decided that they get. We don’t know what kind of Cops are in play, and we don’t know what sort of information they get if they exist, and we don’t know where their information goes if they get any.
We can’t say at this point “this person’s message came from a Full Cop”, or “this person’s message could not have come from a Full Cop”, because we’ve got no stinking idea what we’re dealing with. We have at least 5 people claiming to have received alignment information last Night, none of whom are claiming to be Cops. Unless you think that they are all making it up, you must accept that there’s some strange shit going down here, and throw away your preconceived notions of how things “have to be”. ***Hopefully ***we will have additional information Tomorrow and we can start putting the pieces together. But for Today, none of it means jack.
ugh! why do i get the feeling i’m getting NKd tonight but not by scum?
Just had an earthquake wtf.
Sure. I probably phrased it badly (and by probably I mean I did).
BlaM wants to lynch Silver Jan. At the time of the post it was likely that Silver Jan was some sort of cop. She also had a lot of suspicion against her and so BlaM pushes for that lynch.
Then as it becomes more clear that she is probably not a cop he starts to swing to push for the mason lynch, saying “Hey, it’s not that bad to lynch a mason” Then he turns around and says “Whoah! We can’t lynch a mason!” as the tide begins to turn.
It all strikes me as opportunistic and pushing for bandwagons that he believes to be both viable (hence easy) and power roles. When heat starts to build and as town moves away from the idea of lynching a claimed mason (Astral’s view aside) he moves off onto something safer (going back to Scuba Ben).
That was my initial take on it too. But since all Town players are currently chasing fireflies and wasps with all the information (miss or not) AND looking at the wagon a buildin’ I’m beginning to third guess myself.
And who isn’t right now?
For the record, I was the third person on the wagon and hopped of briefly only because I did (and still do) think that Inner Stickler is a better candidate. But no one really agrees so I am moving on to choice two (well possibly choice three, I still have Ed on my list, but he hasn’t been posting much recently so it’s hard for me to say *where *he is on it).
I’m open to voting inner, i read your post now and am reading some old stuff if you have anything particular to point out other that the loud purple phrase
also the point of my asking you was to give you a chance to explain, if you can’t explain what you meant you were likely just making up a reason and that’s very wolfy
A question for both **gnarlycharlie **and Texcat. apologies if this has been asked and answered already…
Exactly what information did you receive* from the Mods* regarding the other’s alignment and role?
[ul]
[li]Were you told the other was Town?[/li][li]Were you told the other was a Mason?[/li][li]Were you given a copy of the other’s PM?[/li][/ul]
I’m trying to figure out if there’s any wiggle room here that could allow exactly one of them to be Scum.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Gad told me all of those things.
sanga, where are you? I just felt something weird a minute ago, it felt like the building was rocking. I thought I was losing my mind…
Just had an earthquake wtf.
Obviously a Scum Tell. The gods are angry at your Wolfish tendencies.
Seriously though, I hope it was a small one and everything is OK. Where are you?
Is Blaster usually this nonsensical, contradictory, and wrong?
No. I’d actually call him one of the better players, actually. He uses logic and mathematics, often, to deduce what the odds/chances of something are. Pretty insightful. Most of the time, anyway.
Is Blaster usually this nonsensical, contradictory, and wrong?
It has been a long time since he has played, but my memory of him is that he is very highly logical actually. IIRC he is a mathematician, and his thought processes were, in the past fairly ordered. The long post he did on Day 1 about probability was more on line with what I know him to be.
That said it *has *been a while.
Just had an earthquake in the D.C. area; have to evacuate temporarily. Will hopefully/most likely be back before EOD.
also the point of my asking you was to give you a chance to explain, if you can’t explain what you meant you were likely just making up a reason and that’s very wolfy
Fair enough.
All I have on Inner is what I posted and my belief that TexCat presented a reasonably solid case that I didn’t pay attention to at first.
Sorry to hear that, Gad! Hope everything is okay.
Just had an earthquake wtf.
cripes! Everything ok?
Brewha’s post:
This is a terrible vote. It completely dodges responsibility for whether or not SilverJan is actually scum, rationalizing her lynch purely on the basis of informational gain that is not all that certain anyway and could actively be detrimental to town if the Dethy theory is true and Silver Jan is insane (that’s the reverse one, right)? At that, I’m not even sure that Silver Jan is the cop herself (see comment above not getting how this works), but brewha’s vote assumes that she is.
On preview: NAF, I’d like to see the Ed case too even if he’s not getting lynched today.
OK, I see your point. We shouldn’t be lynching people because they’re power is misleading or incorrect. Just because Silver Jan may be a naive or paranoid cop does not make her scum. But, in my defense, I really do think we’d get valuable information if we were to lynch her. She most likely is town, so:
Unvote SilverJan
Not that it really matters with only an hour left in the day.

it has but i understand that with all the posts it can be difficult to find. i received my N1 result that said all the first two. my result said i found my fellow mason. below it was both our full PMs, stating we were both villagers and masons.
since i don’t believe this game to be gastard, i believe TexCat is a town mason and she believes the same of me.
You too Gad? I didn’t think DC had earthquakes.
