But why allow the Scum to know you have a protective power if you are Town? If that’s what you might have?

The apothcary only has protective powers against the poisoner.
What would the wolves gain by killing the apothecary, other than potentially getting rid of someone that might be confirmable town.

The fact that we have a role that protects against the poisoner is a bit of a null tell about the alignment of the poisoner. If they are town, it would be helpful that town has a mechanism to dampen down the randomness of the protown kills.
It is possible that scum have an equivalent protective role.
That said my gut feel is poisoning just seams wrong, and would be an independent role.

Scathach only revealed information that was already out there (the apthcary role, that SpecialEd felt healthy) or is unconfirmable now (targeted Dancecat who is no longer with us). Scathach was also the 5th person on the inner stickler bandwagon. It will be interesting to see how Scathach targets feel on following nights.

I will just defend myself against this part - it was like half an hour before end of day when I voted and the bandwagon against BlasterMaster was massive - if I was a wolf I’d have just voted for BlaM for town cred.

Why didn’t you vote for him just because you thought he was scummy? You said yourself that you wanted him lynched.

Come on guys! I’m not quite dead! Anyone got an asprin? Maybe some milk of magnesia? I’m not feeling so good today.

So, I realize that the bandwagon against I.S. at the end of the day was probably an attempt to save BlaM. And, if this whole poisoning thing takes me out, you’ll see that I am town and I thought that the bandwagon against BlaM sprung up to save scum. I very much expected BlaM to flip town at his lynch.

So, either lynch me today and look close at the other wagoneers from yesterday. Or look at them first and let the poison take care of me.

Or lynch them first and someone gimme a fricken antidote!
Also, I dont’ know if this was mentioned, but it seems obvious that Mahahoth didn’t die from the poison. He just got poisoned and shot the same night, but the poison hadn’t taken effect.

Again, still posting as I catch up so if this has been addressed (or unvoted), I apologize but Jan, it seems to me that all of your votes are either OMGUS votes or “me too” votes. Do you actually have a case against Giraffe? If you believe peeker’s case, can you restate it for us? Just because **peeker **was town, it doesn’t mean he was right about Giraffe. I also think it would be very strange for a scum **BlaM **to target his scum buddy.

If lilflower is scum, her thinking is clear: if the tie-breaker ends up lynching Blaster, people are going to be very suspicious of me casting the last vote on Inner. Better play it safe.

If you’re Town and you believe Inner is scum, why let others control the vote? You said yourself that you expected scum to try to sway a bandwagon to save one of their own, yet you’re more scared of a tie than a mislynch?

Still catching up (and I believe you have unvoted me already) but I am going to respond anyway.

I don’t really understand your reasoning about the tie-breaker. If I had left the votes in a tie, then the lynchee would have been chosen randomly. So why would my last vote on **Inner **look any more or less suspicious? And I don’t understand how I would be letting others control the vote. What does that mean? And yes, I am way more scared of a tie because I don’t want things to be left up to chance. In a tie, we lose a lot of accountability for our votes.

Are you so convinced I’m scum because I didn’t further address your accusations? IME, arguing against one person’s crazy accusations does nothing but distract town from the real objective. And, for some reason, I have a tendency to attract crazy accusations and seem to only exacerbate things when I try to defend against it.

So, I did a little smudge against you after your first accusation - just to gauge your reaction. From that, I didn’t peg you ass cum (har har) so I decided to drop the whole deal. Had I known you had the power to poison me later I may have had the inclination to persuade you otherwise.

I was told that I felt a warm glow on Night 1. (I relayed this poorly due to fear of violating the don’t-post-PM rule.)

If someone targeted you Night 1 and me Night 2, then they would appear to be the giver of the glowing warmness.

I am not a fan of the rush to vote sangaman. I’d imagine if he were Scum, the 24-hour discussion they can have would have led them to come up with a good defense for him to post by now (and I have an idea of what that would be, even). Not to mention my theory, which I’ll relay to the folks who are new to our games.

1. Almost all of the lynchings based on these PIS (Perfect Information Syndrome, you guys use the much better acronym TMI) slips are of Town, not Scum. Someone upthread (NAF, maybe?) had posted a list of reasons we’ve lynched other players in the past for like slips–they were almost all Town, if not all Town.

2. In a majority of those cases, regardless of lynchee alignment, the first person in the thread to point out the “slip” was Scum. It’s a really easy case for Scum to make–they notice those things quickly, and it’s easy to get Town to go along with it.

3. It looks like Suburban Plankton was the one who called it out first. He might be worth an investigation, if you think you have an investigative role.

In regards to point 1, I can think of 2 examples off the top of my head where a PIS slip led to the lynching of a Scum. Evil Dead on this board is one of them.

In regards to point 2, can you cite examples? You seem awfully certain with your use of “almost all” and “a majority” when I think what you mean is “a cursory search of my memory, while clouded by confirmation bias, seems to indicate” or “a couple of really memorable occurrences of this have occurred”

In regards to point 3, you’re telling any potential investigators what to do?

It was in the original mystery mash. There was an 8 person masonry, 7 villagers and one wolf. Given the smaller player pool here I’d imagine a masonry is smaller (maybe 4 players tops), but there very well could be a wolf mason. Don’t just cry foul and refuse to believe it. It isn’t even a design flaw, masonries are a very powerful pro-villager tool, and they become more valuable in a game where no one knows their powers. One way to balance a masonry in a game like this is to put a wolf in the mix.

there were two 3 person masonries and one 2 person masonry

and the wolf mason still peeked as a wolf and had to find his masons first

Welp, looks like peeker was Town. Sorry for trying to kill you, buddy. Still not sure what got in your bonnet about me, but rest in peace.

Interesting about Blaster Master’s role: send someone false alignment information. Not sure why he chose me, but I guess it doesn’t matter. I’d argue that it gives me some Town cred, since it would be an odd scum-scum play for Night one: I had gotten more votes and attention than him at that point, so if I’m lynched and flip scum, people will look askance at the guy I cleared. This argument relies heavily on “scum wouldn’t do that” though, which some people automatically reject so take it for what it’s worth.

Another interesting bit of info: I was sent another message last Night, this time letting me know that pwnsall is Town. Again, this message was unrelated to the results of my Night action. No idea if it’s true, of course.
