The link that is next to the poster name, not the poster name itself.
even peeker is in awe just a tad bit at this point.
Very useful info on Giraffe (and that’s how I got the posting numbers for this game; it is a technique in which I’m well-versed
)
I don’t think anybody who’s reading what I’ve written could legitimately argue that I haven’t posted anything controversial. In fact, I was pretty much the first person to call NAF’s idea out, and generated a lot of discussion around it.
Ok, that’s what I needed to know. In that case, your vote on me isn’t made for scummy reasons (even though it’s still wrong). If you were an experienced player and made that post, it would be a major scumtell since someone who’d played 20+ games and had read the posts I’ve made here would know better.
He’s played maybe up 6 to 10 games.
He’s always Scum though, even when he’s Town. ![]()
You’ll have to show me how you’ve learned to post in such a provably Town way sometime. ![]()

they just did.

No insulting Giraffe; I still have a major soft spot from that first game we played together.
(coughThe one you’d rather forget.cough)
This reads strange and doesn’t give me the fuzzy feelings.
I need to sit here and try to put my finger on it, but something about it is off.
That’s just lazy.
NETA: @ Ed of course.
Lol, what about it is off? I’ve never been a wolf and kind of feel like the rand is rigged towards players the mods like/have experience with.
how is it lazy? you make a vote based on one reason and then say something totally opposite of your initial reason. feels like you got called bullshit and you knew it.
Although if Joshfan can eventually get randed wolf I guess there’s hope for me yet!
and is dancecat someone i know by a different name?
You’re right of course.
At least he’s not Dirx.
It’s lazy to jump on me for my vote. Opportunistic.
And read the posts that I quoted in my vote. One of the 2+2 guys says “hey Dancecat, you’re being quieter than usual, wtf?” he says “loo loo loo, just trying not to get in trouble” which seems suspicious to me. Turns out he’s not actually being quiet, so I shouldn’t have taken the other poster’s word on that, but reading his posts, the “consciously trying to post carefully” does seem evident, so I think my original feeling still stands.
It was never about the quietness, it was about the change in behavior. For example, if I was playing with you on a different board and all of a sudden you’re capitalizing things and not yelling at everybody, I’d be suspicious of that as well.
Im not entirely sure as I said. I’ve never seen you mention that, and it’s a weird spot for it to pop up. I’m just a little “hmm” at it.
It reads as if you want the people we’re new to to know you’ve never been a wolf so they don’t expect much from a wolf game of yours. When I know you’re a pretty damn solid town player, and have never seen you mention it, it comes off strange.
As for the 2nd part, do you really believe so? I’ve found my rand to be pretty close to normal, but obviously it’s a small sample. How many games have you played?
I feel like I need to elaborate on my quote that started this. I commented to dancecat that she didn’t seem overly excited, and asked if it’s “same old, same old?”. I asked this because she - to my knowledge - had not been able to play a game as town in approx 10 of them. Knowing how much she’s hated playing as scum lately, I figured she’s be extremely excited about being Town if she was one here. I didn’t really notice that, so I asked her what was up.
However, there apparently was a recent game seeing her subbing into a game and getting to play as town, so the whole “she should be excited” thing doesn’t matter anymore.
I am not longer skeptical as of right now.
Actually I’ve definitely mentioned it. I think it was in the Metal Gear Solid game (maybe even risk) but monkey banana was pushing me as the wolf (we were both villagers) and I made up a big ass post linking every single one of the villager games and ranting that I’ve never been a wolf in pog, ever. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it outside of that game.
I do kind of feel that way but obviously have no way of proving that. I don’t even know how the rand actually works. It feels that way to me when people like hifi get “randed” wolf 9 times in a row and I get “randed” villager something like 8 times in a row. Even in the HP game I was first randed a god damned miller, then was able to get subbed back in and was given what was essentially as vanilla of a role there was in HP.
I should add though that I try not to really bring my feeling on that issue in POG because I don’t want a) mods to spite rand me a villager or b) mods to make me a wolf because I’ve complained. I feel like if I bitch about it my roles might get polarized depending on the mods and I don’t want that to happen. Probably shouldn’t have mentioned it here either but oh well.
