Ah yes, i had forgotten about that. But actually, I think we may both be half right.

I think **Ed ***was *redirected, but perhaps not to NAF. He says he targeted bufftabby, but bufftabby claims to have had only one target last Night, so his power was not Doubled.

Or perhaps NAF isn’t a ‘Mimic’ after all, and Ed was redirected to him.

In any case, whether or not Ed was redirected doesn’t change what makes me suspicious of J.D., so my vote stands.

I’m thinking **NAF **could be a power stealer. I might know more after toNight since he targeted me last Night. I asked this just a few posts ago, too, but is “mimic” another word for “power stealer”?

Never got the result I was blocked. Septimus, the cop, got a message from someone else (one of the random ones sent out among all the cops) that Janet was a roleblocker. After she said she targeted me, we figured this was another way to get Town cred.

But if Jan really is a roleblocker and she targeted you, wouldn’t you have been blocked?

Although I do like the guess that you’re actually a Bomb. But I think the Town may be out of killing roles, so we’ll have to do it this way. Would you prefer a hemp rope or a silk rope?

Nice catch, Sub Plank. We have to reevaluate both of those claims.

A key part of Idle’s “Hey! I’m betraying my own team! Lookit meeeee!” drama is his claim that he betrayed Episkey to PizzaGuy on N2. (Idle was pretty firm about that.) But if he earlier claimed to have been blocked on N2, then at least one claim is a lie.

AOP from my notes: Idle claimed in #2779 that he was blocked on N2, probably by Silver Jan (2774). So, Idle, if you really want us to believe you betrayed Episkey to PizzaGuy, please resolve this inconsistency.

I see no reason to believe anything that **Idle **has said since he outed himself. I think there is *some *validity in believing his earlier claims, since it behooves Scum to be as truthful as possible in order to make their lies more believeable. But we need to take everything he has said with a grain of salt until he dies and we see what his role was. At that point we can hopefully eliminate some of his claims as being impossible given his role. Hopefully.

That’s a good point. Only thing I can think of is that she was redirected somehow. Or maybe something else happened that we don’t yet know about.

I think we’ve already established that **Idle **is lying. If you look at my summary of claims, there are a number of contradictions in what he’s claimed so far.

It had to do with the discussion about what ** peeker’s** powers really did and a misconception I read by someone. I suppose it is a moot point now though.

In my experience (which is greater than some here and far less than others) “Power Stealer” generally implies a Scum role, and is usually restricted to stealing powers from the dead.

“Mimic” as it is being used here implies nothing about alignment, and appears to allow for the targeting of live players.

The ability itself seems to be the same (you assume the same ability as your target) but the mechanics appear to be different.

We need to remember that the only evidence we have that **NAF **is a Mimic came from Idle, and there is a possibility that he might not have been completely forthright with us.

NAF says he targeted **peeker **on Night 0, with no apparent effect.

He targeted **Ed **on Night 1, and had his power doubled on Night 2. This could be because he received Ed’s power and targeted himself on Night 2, or it could be because Ed was redirected to NAF on Night 2…or it could be that NAF is lying.

He targeted Normal Phase and **lilflower **on Night 3. We so far have no idea what powers either of them have (unless I’ve missed something), so there doesn’t seem to be any way to validate anything from last Night at this point.
