Mystery Mafia -- Game Thread

Well, the concepts the same we just refer to it as “leveling” since you never know which level they are on

no, I am not accusing anyone of anything yet. I am merely getting my hands wrapped around this game a bit since I havent had time to spend on it.

Agree to a degree. I think he just doesn’t want NAF to get lynched. Note his reaction to me, I don’t give him the information he wants (he’s basically asking if I know he’s a roleblocker), then tell him that I won’t give him info because he’s 50/50 to be a wolf, and he gets uber defensive and insta-votes me. He’s turbo voting me despite NAF and Episkey still being alive, with NAF very likely to be a wolf. Why is he doing this? I have my theories. Just take a look at me and his exchange just now.

We know for a fact this is not the case. With episkey, septimus and pwnsall, these are all guys who have been putting pressure on idle in one way or another for some time. He choose these targets.

Every single thing any wolf says can give us information whether or not it’s readily apparent to us.

Naf and normal are wolves. We can lynch naf and if he flips villa then fine go me, but if he’s a wolf we’re lynching normal god damnit. You might not agree with the way I come to my conclusions, but I AM CORRECT.

On Night 1, NAF had peeker’s power which reflected his target’s actions back on to himself. Would that account for NAF targeting Ed and then getting Ed’s power back on himself (and not buff)?

That was confusing to write so hopefully it makes sense.

+1.

its a matter of taking in the information and processing best you can.

for instance, i wouldnt even bother to read “spew” from idle after he was outted…but before that point, there could be something.

idle went after both brew and sanga right away when given the chance. that certainly tells you something about how he plays.

If i was a wolf in thread when that slip gets brought up, I either ignore it or disappear.

The bottom line of my long-winded post is this: Anyone idle calls town or scum I will take with a grain of salt.

I can get behind this after rereading that exchange.

Theory: Wolves cant kill me until NAF is dead right? Maybe my initial theory is incorrect. Is it correct to kill neither NAF or Me, ensuring I’m alive and getting me another peek?

NETA: I mean, NAF is in anti spew mode ffs. Just shut down. But wolves are in a shitty spot if we keep both of us alive and I’m getting peeks right? My only useful peek result thus far is pwns=wolf so pwns is rly a villa, but we already knew that. Maybe we can get more info?

This games giving me a headache

I just had an idea.
Since no apparent effect is what the new me gets too
how about I ponder that I LF2 could be the Mason that Lightfoot1 needed to find?

any flaws there?

Teach me not to preview let me get the rest of the cut/paste

Ok breaking it down:

For as long as NAF AND I are alive, the wolves can’t kill me. I’m somewhat providing distraction for them, I’m keeping NAF alive since it’s either him or I, and I’m causing confusion with my role. When they kill me we can 100% confirm my peeks are accurate, confirm NAF is scum, and then begin breaking down the Idle WiFoM stuff.

So if we just hunt the rest of the wolves since NAF is in non-spew mode, I keep getting peeks and when I eventually die we have more information to go off of.

NETA: by “accurate” I mean flipped

I don’t think that’s right either. I’m not sure how to NAF ended up with two targets on Night 2. He would have had to be Ed’s target, not have targeted Ed, right? Was NAF the one who got his Night 0 action though? If so, he could have been a lightning rod on Night 1 and targeted whoever Ed targeted which was Scuba Ben.

Episkey you could be a paranoid seer and be absolutely useless to us. At best, you give bad peeks. We can’t let NAF live just so you can get peeks which will probably be unhelpful or damaging to the village.

By theft, I was thinking that NAF’s power works thusly:

  1. He targets Player A on Night 1.
  2. On Night 2. He uses Player A’s power on his target, Player B.
  3. On Night 3, He is able to use Player B’s power on another target.
  4. During Night 2, Player A is unable to use his power because NAF is using it.

Now, granted, I was led to this conclusion because bufftabby did not get hit by my power on the Night that NAF used it on himself.

In order for you and Lilflower to have been doubled by NAF< it would have had to work this way:
Night 1: NAF mimics my power. (I successfully target Scuba Ben)
Night 2: NAF targets himself and earns 2 uses of his power on Night 3. (My targeting of bufftabby fails for unknown reasons.)
Night 3: NAF targets Normal Phase and lilflower, using my power again. (I target Drain Bead successfully.)
Night 4: Normal Phase and lilflower have 2 targets. NAF targets lightfoot who dies. (I am blocked.)

Is this accurate?
Why did he not mimic his own power when he targeted NP and lilflower?

The only plausible explanation I can find is that he mimicked himself while he was still mimicking me? And my target of bufftabby either fails or was wrongly reported.

I don’t think the timing was correct for Bufftabby to be responsible for making 2 reports of wolf to ATPG under the influence of my power and then lie about it.

Maybe. I thougth I had it all figured out yesterday but now I’m baffled. I need teh whole list of actions.

Sorry everyone - epically busy at work at the moment.

2 questions - when is EOD? And given that I make people “feel healthy” what’s the case for curing Drain Bead?

My targets have shown no ill effects, And we know there is another mason out there. It’s possible?

I ramble at myself in word and then I cut the parts that make sense. Referring to my dead self as an alive self is interesting.
Catching up with a different perspective. I will respond to the events after LightFoot’s death when I am done doing payroll.

I need to remember to add sig line so you get me
