Who wants a drink? I just found out that the theater department at the school I am going to so I can get my teaching credential is having a mandatory meeting tomorrow at 3:30. Why does this effect me you may ask? Because I am getting certified to be a drama teacher (don’t ask, not my idea I wanted to teach history. New Jersey had other plans) I am technically a theater student not an education student. I find this out today, about 10 minutes ago and now need a babysitter for tomorrow.

The anti-intellectualism in our current society makes me sick. I can understand frustration with the educational system, but teachers should not be the target of disdain.

I moved to new jersey and thought to myself, how can I, one of the faceless masses, hurt Governor Christie? Even only a little. Then it hit me, become a teacher in his state! Worse, an arts teacher. That will show him.
are all teachers required to be paid the same amount?
i assume that’s why there aren’t enough math and science teachers while apparently hard to get teaching jobs in other fields
also all the best teachers i had growing up were young, all the older ones sucked and were lazy
