pizza theoretical question: if you and i were scum on the same team would you play it the way toDay has played out or would you go a differerent direction? just a purely hypothetical. i mean most of the folks “over here” i tend to know their strengths and weaknesses. and since they know mine we just kind of feed when we are scum. and we kind of adjust. shut the fuck up kind of scum board nonsense. purely hypothetical would you pull an ed and meeko shenanigan or what? because i fully expect a ton of shit when the folks that work come back to play.

I usually hate “me too” posts…but, me too. I didn’t like SB’s flip flopping as he was doing it, but that post from** Blaster Master** really shows how weird it was when taken as a whole. I also liked **Suburban Plankton’**s post about it, so as someone who was already a little suspicious of Scuba Ben, a little, I have no problem changing my vote.

I was gonna argue about this, but I think it is pointless at this stage to discuss any more about peeker’s post silencing power, especially since I don’t think he actually has it. At the least, he is probably not a vig, and it won’t kill him to target himself.
The wagon on Ben has really taken off, which by the arguments from yesterday, means he’s probably town. I am hoping for a whole bunch more posts from people after the weekend, including Ben, so I can make a better decision about my vote.

Still around, just nothing much to say. BlaM did a much better job of making my case than I did. He managed to put a finger on exactly what was bothering me about the waffling Ben did yesterday in the voting. It wasn’t the fact that he was switching votes around, it was the timing, and the weak and inconsistent reasoning behind it. I now feel like I am making a “me too” vote even though my vote came first, that’s how much your case managed to perfectly spell out exactly what I’d been thinking. Fucking creepy, yo.

I’ll be honest, my first reaction to peeker was “this guy is nothing like me; he posts like a crack monkey pushing the submit post button to get more crack, and he uses the f-word… like a comma”.
I was very confused by the suggestion we were at all alike. But that’s the superficial stuff. Then I saw what you do and how you actually play the game. You play like it’s your personal mission to destroy all the scumbags and you don’t really care if it makes you look good or bad. You’re an inquisitor, like me. Your methods are a little less “poke her with the SOFT CUSHIONS” and more “effin poke her with the effin SOFT CUSHIONS”. You don’t necessarily believe that what others consider good play is the only way to play the game, and you have your own theories and are proud of it. You know that the game is all about bluffing, and sniffing out bullshit in others, but you’re not above lying or pulling off screwjobs to get the job done no matter what your alignment.
Like I said before, you’re me… plus the f-word.
There is a slight difference in my play when I’m scum. I avoid the sorts of things that get me votes because people don’t like them, not because they’re scummy. I push alternative wagons less.
The big thing about townie pizzaguy is pushing alternatives. Even if you’re certain someone is scum,
A) You could be wrong
B) Not discussing what to do after that person dies wastes time
C) You’re not putting the actual scumbags under any pressure, if you’re wrong
D) Even if you’re correct, the scum team either deflects the loss or uses it to their advantage to mess with your brain
E) If you were to discuss alternatives you JUST MIGHT be able to figure out that the person or persons you wrote off as leaning townie are actually scum.
No matter what happens in a round, alternatives should be discussed.
I push that a bit less when I’m scum. Nobody likes contradiction, and when folks don’t like your tactics they accuse you of being scummy. It’s a logical disconnect.

Just to highlight, IDLE was all over me for my somewhat lazy vote and not posting much on day one, to the point of suggesting i just get Vigged , then rolls in and does a " me to" vote and doesnt post much.
Not sure what to make of the Giraffe vs Peeker vs Pizza stuff, way to much noise to signal to get much out of that.
I am somewhat concerned about Pizza. If he is telling the truth and targeted Malahoth last night then there is a reasonable chance that he has a killing role. As our vig is dead that leaves another non wolf killer. We know there is the possibility of independent factions due to the rules, so there is a chance that Pizza is not town aligned. If he were independent, he would have nothing to loose by being very pro town, in the hopes of garnering some town protection. On the otehr hand it would be odd that PFK came out and admitted they had a killing role.
Several people have tried to suggest the scum are mostly otherborders due to the number of town otherborders who were killed last night. As far as I know that whole argument is purest WIFOM. Scum could almost entirly SMDB/IDELEBOARD/Giraffe/Domebo players, they just need one or two otherborders to tell them Guri and silman were good players. Hell scum could be entirly non otherboarders and just read comments that indicated the town deaths were good players, or wanted a giant smudge on the otherboarders.
What is interesting ( well to me, but i am easily amused) is that who ever first posited the notion seamed to assume that both town deaths were scum kills. Could be a case of perfect information syndrome, need to go back and review the posts.

What? This is preposterous! I’d never do such a thing except for that one time. Two times… three… gosh I’ve been neutral a lot.
Actually I am town, and I would admit to being neutral if I were. This is not the way to play an independent role in this game, because “protection” cannot be consistently applied every night, unlike most other games. Even if the doc guesses correctly on me tonight, I die tomorrow night. And if they wait until tomorrow night, I could die tonight.
This claim I have will result in me being blocked, tracked, watched, protected, or murdered. It makes no sense for me to do this as third-party. Attracting this much attention to myself as a killing role makes no sense as scum, especially since I did it while under zero pressure. So that leaves townie.
Still not certain I’m the vig, but it is a fair assumption to make.
Hey now, to be fair, I did say I was already suspicious of Scuba in post 1383 (which I linked to), which was before the post that I "me too"ed.
Basically, I’d rather put my vote on someone who I’m suspicious of who might actually have the chance to be lynched than someone who might turn out to be a one-off vote in the end. And Scuba Ben has a bit more players already suspicious of him than you, from what I see.
2 pro town night kills and a lynch against two other kills ( the non colour kills ) seams a little town biased. Two scum kills could be about right ( to be honest i am not exactly the right person to be asking aout game balancin) .
Hence my concern that one of the hits on Malahoth was not a pro town hit, ie a PFK or independent faction. There could be more night killers, although that would lead us to potentially have 6 kills per day/ night cycle which would seam to be quite a lot.
Incidentally I am refering to scum as the wolves, so if we have independents out there, i call 'em PFK or non town aligned, which is different to scum. Just in case we end up in a semantic discussion of who scum is.
