Na,e this 50's era design style

There’s a design style that seems to have originated in the 50’s but is still used today for retro/kitch/fun. It’s the one where objects are highly stylized and have a flat, non-perspective look. The color scheme is limited and the colors aren’t necessarily “in the lines”.

What’s the name of this style?

Most of the things I see that people call “retro” are art deco. But that originated much earlier than the 50s.

Wasn’t there something called “Futura” in the 'Fifties? Cathedral ceilings, lots of windows, no carpet, and a “futuristic” furniture style?
