Talking politics with a friend and he said one of Ralph Naders positions was nationalizing the auto industry. True?
I saw Nader give a speech here in Tampa in 2000 (when he was running for president on the Green ticket), and for all the ground he covered, he did not mention nationalizing any industry. Quick searches on his website (http://www.nader.org/) using keywords “nationalize” and “nationalization” returned no results. It’s not mentioned in his Wikipedia bio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralph_nader). I think your friend is talking out his exhaust pipe.
I was under the impression that the Green Party is in favor of nationalizing the entire Fortune 500. I’ll go look for a cite.
Okay, that looks to be a bit of an alarmist viewpoint. I found this on the the Green Party’s site:
"Decentralization
