Name changed to protect no one in particular

I have had my username changed from NotherYinzer because it didn’t really fit me anymore. I’m now Reeses_Monkey, both because I like the pun and because I’m a Reese’s lover from waaay back. What would I do for a Klondike bar? Not much. But show me a peanut butter cup and I’m yours.

Cool.

Can you tell us what your avatar is? Are you a cancer survivor or is it something else?

I’m a papillary thyroid cancer survivor, going on ten years now. The ribbon is pink, teal, and purple. The butterfly is the symbol for the thyroid.

Man, deep down…aren’t we all Reeses monkeys? I like it.

Thank you.

That’s not peanut butter it’s throwing!

I suppose for today it should be a peanut butter egg, right?

Congrats on the name change and thanks for the avatar explanation. I just thought it was pretty. Now I know what it means as well.

If this was a Cafe Society thread, I’d be advocating for the better peanut butter cups (such as Trader Joe’s) that have real peanut butter and real chocolate… but that’s another thread.

But no argument that’s a great combo, and sure, it improves as the quality of the ingredients goes up, it’s still darn tasty even at the basic level.

And I love the pun, so I consider it a win no matter what.

Should Reese’s-positive people marry Reese’s-negative people?

That might explain why my wife (Reese’s-positive) and I (strongly Reese’s-negative) were never able to have kids.

I wish there was a Trader Joe’s near me but I’m not going to drive 70 miles for groceries, even if they are pb cups.

:egg:

Congrats. On the name change. Its cute. I like it.

So, you’re the one you got peanut butter in my chocolate!

Beats the alternative. Getting your chocolate in my peanut butter is gross.

You might as well have changed it; every time I looked at your old moniker, I saw Northern Yinzer and wondered what the futz it meant.

I know that “Yinzer” is slang for someone from the Pittsburgh area, though I don’t know how widely that term is used outside of that area; I had always assumed that the OP was from Pittsburgh originally, and had moved further north at some point.

Yeah, I’m also familiar with “Yinzer” (my wife is one but will never admit it), it was the “northern” part that confused me.

It was 'nother Yinzer but didn’t have the apostrophe. There was already a Yinzer on the board so I was another one.

Oh good, it wasn’t just me!

Me too.

Although to @burpo_the_wonder_mutt’s perplexity I’d have found Southern Yinzer much more bewildering than Northern Yinzer. Pittsburgh being in the northern US and all.
