Link goes to a picture of her (8 weeks old). I have never named anything in my life, and I’m not about to start now
on a totally unrelated topic. We already have a grown cat named Boo (also a female) and I was wondering if there was anything i should do or avoid doing. The objective being, of course, having the two cats get along (and hopefully play with each other).
we briefly "introduced them and when the kitten paid too much attention to Boo’s tail, Boo actually HISSED!!). I had never heard her hiss before… and she hissed twice at me afterwards in the span of 15 minutes. Once when I was teasing her a bit, and once when I lifted her. Weird… Should I kick Boo whenever she hisses at me? to show her who’s the boss ya know?
I was just kidding about the kicking. Now that I think of it, did you know that Islam forbids cruelty towards animals?. And that I have a tendency to go offtopic for no reason?
I wouldn’t worry about the hissing. It’s perfectly normal thing for cats, even otherwise docile ones, to get grumpy over an “intruder.” I have yet to meet the cat who greets a new cat in a manner other than hissing and swatting and running away to hide under the bed.
Hi. Just posting my 2999th post here, to get it out of the way (a bit like using up spare shots on your camera film)
I would name your kitten sprite, or george, or ‘go away’ (so you can confuse the hell out of her - “come here go away”) or ‘cat’ or ‘six of eleven’ or ‘MCX001V-2’
I owe you all an apology. See, when my wife told me that I would have the priviledge to name the kitten, what she really meant was that I could come up with names but that afterwards, she would pick something completely different and expect me to fully support her in her choice. So the kitten was unil…err…bilaterally named chibi-chan or chibi for short.
