Not my cat, unfortunately, but my parents who live nearby just got a black kitten. Isn’t he the cutest cat? He was a stray cat rescued by a neighbor after his mother disappeared. He’s extremely friendly though. We’re calling him “chibi” (“little one”) but I think he’ll outgrow that name soon enough. So, any suggestions?

My 15-pound black boy is named Smoqueford Twitchbottom Pussarcik. He was already named Smoky when he came to me, but he needed a more dignified name.
My eight-pound black girl is named Maui Ann. Maui is the phonetic spelling of the Polish word for small, and we added Ann so there wouldn’t be any gender confusion.
Then again, I have a friend who named her black cat Snowball.
I’d name the kitty Bast.
I think Anniken (Sp?) is a fine name for a black cat.
If he was a dog, I would name him Atticus.
my two cents
We have a black-and-white cat whom we named “Shadow”, both because of his coloring and because he followed us everywhere as a kitten.
Call him “Mr. Fizzly-Bottom-Along”.
That way, he’ll grow up tough from fighting all the other cats who try to beat him up because of his name.

He looks a lot like a friend’s cat, who is called Spresso (short for Espresso Bean)
You could always use the name I gave to my pit kitten.(Before anyone asks I refer to my cat as that because he seems to have a jaw like a steel trap. Still he hasn’t been a kitten in years) Anyway my cat is name Tyson which is a pretty good name for any male cat. I mean if the cat fights constantly you can say he’s named after the boxer and if he’s an abject coward he’s name after the chicken company:-)

She was originally Black Magic, but she prefers Raven.
