Name THAT Candy

That’s right kiddies, it’s time to play –
Name - THAT - CANDY

I’ve tried to find it–in stores and online–I’ve tried and tried. It’s a candy I remember from my childhood. I know they still make it, and once someone comes up with the name, I’m sure I’ll find it on every shelf in every grocery store I ever walk into. It’s something like “Toffay”, but I can’t find it under that name anywhere. Please, if you know it…do share.

Description: It is a bowl-shaped candy made of soft caramel or toffee. It has a nut (like a hazelnut or almond) in the middle with a chocolate dot on the top. The commercial, IIRC, used to show the outer bowl candy, then the nut added, then the caramel filling and finally the drop of chocolate added. They came in a candybar size pack of like 3, 4 or 5.

Any guesses?

Toffifay.

Toffee-Fay.

It’s in a brown wrapper, and the candies come in a little plastic bowl, so the container looks like a little box.

Love those things.

Peta,
Just 'cause I love ya,

WOOOOHOOOOO! You guys rock! Thanks.

Toffifay is nostalgic?

The candy stand where I work sells it. I eat it at least once a week. 'Cuz it’s gooooooooood.

Yeah, it’s my favorite candy, too.
A special treat for myself, yum!

Golden cups filled with chocolate, hazelnut in the bottom, dark chocolate button on top… What could be yummier?

Is this the same as Toffiffee (one too many "f"s somewhere!) Possibly that is the Canadian rip-off, since it’s pronounced the same way.

“Toffifay - it’s too good for kids! (But not too good for you!)”

Love it, love it, love it, and I’m not a big fan of nuts. [sub](You know what I mean!)[/sub]

This IS the same candy, they even had that same commercial with the nut falling into the cup and then being filled with caramel and chocolate. For some reason they changed the name in Canada, but I would hazard a guess that it’s made by the same company.
