Name This 1960's Horror Movie

Hi Folks,

Please help me out here with a childhood memory. This horror movie scared the crap out of me when I was a kid, I thought at the time the title was “Ghosts in Glass Houses,” but I can’t seem to find it anywhere on the internet. The era would be anywhere from 1967-70 and the only thing I remember about it was that it was about a haunted house and there was a large framed photograph on the wall of a man with a Great Dane. Seems to me like the picture bled or did something similarly scary. I vaguely remember strange sounds and images in glass around the house. Sorry I don’t have more details, but that’s all I can remember.

I can’t recall the title, but there was a TV movie (It might have been an ABC Movie of the Week) that started out with an executive throwing a dart at a painting behind his desk, which bleeds. It’s later to all be revealed as a Scooby-doo-style setup (there’s a pocket of fake blood behind the portrait that bleeds. How the guy who set it up knew that the victim would throw a dart, and at that particular spot, always seemed to me to be a weak point). I’ve done a quick search of the ABC MotW listing, but nothing rings a bell. It might have been an episode of some mystery show.

B&W or color?

I posted this once already, for some reason hasn’t made it in. Here it is again. I’ve had good luck with this forum, so I want to get this one through. I remember a movie from my childhood that scared the crap out of me. The title, I thought at the time was “Ghosts in Glass Houses”, but I don’t think that’s it now as I can’t find it. Anyway, the only thing I remember about it was that it was about a haunted house and there was a large photo on the wall of a man with a Great Dane, seems to me like the picture bled or something equally creepy. There was something about mirrors or windows that held the ghosts or something like that. The film would’ve been made sometime between 1967-70. Don’t remember if it was colour or black and white.

Merged duplicate threads.

Bah. I don’t have much to add except that I vaguely remember that title too; something like “Ghosts Who Live in Glass Houses”. And yeah, I’m pretty sure it was a made-for-tv movie. Late 60s early 70s seems right. Can’t find anything on-line either but can confirm you aren’t crazy, if that helps.

Probably not much help, but I remember the “throwing a dart at the painting and it bleeds” scene being from a made-for-TV movie called “Ghostbreakers”, (not the Bob Hope film). Could have been the flu, though.

Thanks, you’re right it proves I’m not crazy.
