Name this Garage/Frat anthem

Ever hear a song you have heard a million times but can’t put a title or artist to it?
The song linked below was played by two different bands at a garage rock festival I recently attended. The nature of such performances is that most of the lyrics are unintelligible. I know I have also heard the original recording of this song in the past. I thought it was maybe called “Carol Lynn” but no variations on that are pointing me in the right direction.
Just a heads up, I don’t think the 1812 Overture bit is from the original record.

You were close, I think this is it - Cara-Lyn by Johnny Young & Kompany:

I’ve never heard the song, but I found it by googling the one line I could understand - “She’s got everything I need, satisfaction guarenteed.”

ETA: 17 minutes, not bad.

It sounds a little like Land of a Thousand Dances by Wilson Pickett.

Frankly it was hard for me to even watch this. I hate their schtick and they are a terrible band. Are they supposed to be all dressed like Austin Powers?

The band is called The Dukes of Hamburg (where - reportedly - the founding members were from before forming in San Francisco). I believe the (intentionally cheesy) costumes and wigs are a tribute to Hamburg-era Beatles.

Stanger yet, the recording I’m more familiar with is the original (spelled Cara-Lin) by the (manufactured) band, The Strangeloves.

Thanks for finding that. Watching the OP’s link, I was sure I’d heard it dozens of times, but only by garage bands at bars or tiny festivals. I kept saying “Come on, SOMEone’s got to find this or I’ll be frustrated for years!”
