Just so you know, the person on whose behalf I asked this has not gotten back to me yet. Didn’t want you to think your replies are unappreciated! I’ll let you know what they choose.
Another Frontalot fan! w00t!
I used to have a cat named Mayhem. He earned it.
Phase42: I wondered if anyone would get the reference.
Oh, and I guess it’s spelled Nyteshaed
Encrypta?

There was a man named Malice. I couldn’t for the life of me understand why anybody would name their son Malice.
For goth girls, how about Morgan? Sepultura? Elvira? Lilith?
Yah, and you missed my post #51 up at the top of the page
HA. I totaly did miss that.

Or…heeeeyyy…call her Johanna!
Wasn’t that the name of the daughter of the Demon Barber of Fleet Street?
My son has a goth girl in her class. Her real name is Debby but she told the teacher on the first day that she didn’t want to answer to that name. The teacher asked what name she preferred. She said, “You can either call me Nightshade or Fifi.” That’s right, she said Fifi. The teacher tried not to laugh and said there was no way he could call her Fifi and he refused to call her the name of a fungus. He said he would only call her Debby.
I saw a movie once where the main character was named Bronté – I always liked the name and it sounds fairly goth to me (tragic romances & all that). or Syeira (sigh-ehr-ah): gypsy: Princess.
If you want fakey/poser sounding names, the goth girls in the CSI episode Suckers were named Luminessa and Daegonna, and they follow the format I’ve often seen… ie, take an archaic-sounding word, or set of syllables (if you can spell it weirdly, all the better) and add “essa,” “onna,” “etta,” or “ella” to the end.
Flip Pancake I like Wander – may be used as a pet’s name in the future.
Esmeralda
Gytha
Magrat
I’ve seen Morgan a lot here, but I’d prefer Morgana
Hmm…I wasn’t aware that potatoes and eggplants were fungi.
Did she answer to Debby? I so wouldn’t have. We would have had a right good ol’ battle of the wills going on there.
Hey, the teacher was the gym coach. He was lucky he knew it was some kind of vegetation. Before anyone says anything about me disparaging gym teachers, I met the man and he has the IQ of a jock strap.
She agreed to Debby since her other options were not variations of her given name (he allowed shorted names like Rick or Rich instead of Richard, but was consistant in that he wouldn’t call one of the football players “Nuke” since it was a nickname).
