What names enhance the appeal of those who appeal to you?
I find myself particularly well disposed towards men named
Joe
Jack
Jake
David (but not Dave)
Dan (but not Daniel)

I tend to like guys whose names end in the letter “n” like mine does; Ryan, John, Brandon, Dan etc. Not universally, but there’s definitely a trend.
Hmmm…Sophia, Lydia, Nadia. Wow, having written these, I just noticed that the “-dia” part of all these names sounds like “Do ya?” Very odd.
Lisa
Jill
Jennifer
I find myself drawn to Biblical names, but I don’t associate them with being Biblical (or Jewish, which, being Old Testament, they are also frequently Jewish names) as much as i associate them with being sort of “old West”, which is not a particularly attractive era to me or anything. I also like the letter Z in names:
Ezra
Ezekiel, Zeke
Zack, Zach
Jebidiah
Jedidiah
Jab and Jed
Jeremiah
Isaac
Ben
Seth
Zeb
Gideon
Travis (except it’s way too common now)
Samuel
Eli
Levi
Names, as a manifestation of femininity, are almost too seductive to me.
The name Elizabeth works a particular magic on me, especially if a woman prefers it be used in full. It’s such an ancient and regal-sounding name, and yet still so delicate. Other Hebrew names that speak to me are Sarah, Susan, Leah, Rachel, Rebecca.
Names built around L- and S- sounds are silvery whispery sighs: Laura, Lisa, Melissa, Ellen, Alison, Emily.
J-names are warm-sounding, true-blue and homey: Jennifer, Janice, Jane, Jean. Pair J with an L- or S-sound, like Julie or Jessica, and I’m immediately attracted.
I don’t respond so well to B- or D-names for some reason. Denise, Danielle, Diana seem like they carry baggage - perhaps they remind me of divas or duchesses. Barbara, Brenda, Brittany, Bonnie sound like bouncing baby bundles.
Hello, my name is Dan
Anyway, I find the name Ashley very attractive. I think it may be because that’s what my parents would have named me if I was a girl.
I also like Amy, Bailey, Cassey, Emily, and Sarah.
Jennifer
Jessica
Christina
There are more… but these are the main ones.
Sarah, with an ‘H’, huge hardon.
Sara without an ‘H’ I might need extenze to reach the urinal.
Sonja I always thought was a great name.
Anything on 90210, Blechhh.
I’m having a tough time with Marie, one screwed me into the ground emotionally and financially, this one has me magically intrigued.
I’ve always loved short, old-fashioned, and what I consider to be manly names:
Jack
Frank
Fred
If she’s smart, beautiful and friendly, having the “right kind of name” is pretty far down the priority list, but generally speaking, old-fashioned women’s names provide an added attraction for me:
Elizabeth
Rebecca
Melissa
Clarissa
Persephone
Emma
Kimberly
Girly girl names.
Kristin
Heather
Suzy
Kim
Jill
Jessica
Names that sound like old German warhoarses, not so much.
Wilhelmena
Gertrude
Elfrida
Didrika
FWIW, Didrika sounds like a girl who could give a hell of hand job. I’d at least hang around long enough to find out.
Easy.
As in “Hi, I’m Easy.”
Yeah, not hard to do for a body builder with man hands.
I always liked Charlotte.
I’m not influenced by someone’s name.
But If we’re talking about names I like in their own right…
Claire.
Emma.
Jennifer.
Danielle.
I tried to make the good list longer, but I just can’t find names to go on the list. I used this site as a reference.
http://www.statistics.gov.uk/specials/babiesnames_girls.asp
And there are names I dislike (in their own right)…
Angela.
Kathleen.
Natasha.
Nicole.
Victoria.
Can’t exclude the classic bad name from the list - Gertrude.
Wow, me and my sister have already been mentioned here…right next to each other, as a matter of fact! (Not in the “unattractive” lists, I should add. )
I just want to chime in and say I like simple, classic men’s names that aren’t too “hard” sounding. The list of Biblical names above is nice, too.
Funny, I dislike Gertrude, and I dislike Gerty, but I like Trudy.
I never thought I had a preference, but when I first started dating my husband, whenever I told anyone about him, they agreed that his name sounded like someone I’d be into. Even my ex-boyfriend, when told his name, said, “You would date a guy named _____, wouldn’t you.”
