The sheriff in my old hometown was named Michael Hunt. He went by “Mike”, for reason that are a mystery to me.
It was a long time before I could look my parents in the eye, you know. Frankly, I’m too busy trying to live a normal life to worry about running for office.

Jews got a good laugh when a guy whose last name was Hashem (pronounced "hash’em, like “make hash out of them”) was running for sheriff somewhere. His sign, with his name in all caps, was reprinted in pretty much every Jewish publication:
