Can anyone tell me whats going on with www.houstonsuperspeedway.com? I get major conflicting reports. They were supposed to be racing already but I don’t think that they have even broken ground yet but I understand that the they have bought the land (2700 Acres).

Shows just how good their PR people are: I’ve never heard of it.
The last news Jayski had about it was posted in August of 2003, when they supposedly broke ground. The website is full of broken links, and there’s no pictures or evidence that anything’s been done.
A quick poke around Google shows that construction was halted in October of 2003 because of tax and zoning issues. As of June of 2004, nothing was done.
The place to get almost all info on anything NASCAR is Jayski.com. And of course, he has quite a bit of info about Houston SuperSpeedway.

Thanks for the leads (this place rocks!), I don’t know anything about NASCAR but I am buying some property close by and I keep hearing about “the new track”. Looking at the website I don’t see that much is happening.
