New TV drama for the Fox Network: Nash McCabe, starring Don Johnson as the crochety police chief of Latrobe, PA. Co-starring Nash McCabe herself in the role of a local woman who tracks crime with her police scanner and shows up to confront evildoers who are not sufficiently patriotic.

In the first episode, Cheech Marin guest stars as an illegal alien who escapes deportation by wearing an American flag lapel pin. Laughs galore.

I checked all the presidential portraits at whitehouse.gov, and only one of them was wearing a flag pin. But still, I guess it’s required now.

Let’s not pretend she actually cares about the pin. John McCain doesn’t wear the pin, Hillary often isn’t wearing one (and wasn’t at the debate), and McNabe herself was not wearing one.

Obviously she cares about something to do with Obama, but it ain’t his choice of accessories.

This is as dumb as putting “In God We Trust” on our currency or “Under God” in the Pledge because we somehow think that Communists are related to vampires or werewolves and these things will just stop them in their tracks. :rolleyes:

I’m starting to think the only solution is to have the small number orf worthy states (VT, MA, WI, MN, OR, WA and northern CA) secede and join Canada. Those of you who are worthy but live in non-worth states can move.

It’s one of the mysteries of this campaign that a black ex-community organizer can be labeled an “elitist”, while his politically well-connected opponent who’s enjoyed the advantages of great wealth and a huge initial fundraising advantage is suddenly a struggling populist.

Nothing new, though. HW Bush was blasting Dukakis as elitist back in '88 for studying at Harvard. How that squared with Bush’s degree from Yale was just as mysterious.
