Natalie Harp - uh, what is going on?

What’s that guy’s name? The one who looks like Kim Jong Un crossed with a dog turd? Right after that he sent out an official White House communication calling Ossoff “Jon Jackoff”.

Communications Director Steven Cheung.

And a very apt description. Well done.

Obviously, the most lurid details of Ms. Harp’s access and privilege are still trickling out:

Speaking to The Daily Beast’s Inside Trump’s Head podcast, Wolff – the author of several controversial books about the president, including Fire and Fury (2018) and All or Nothing (2025) – revealed that Harp’s being granted access to an exclusive, all-you-can-eat Sunday buffet at Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, was met with astonishment by her fellow employees.

“The staffers… like, I mean, they get teary-eyed, their eyes roll back, because they’re actually not allowed to go to the buffet,” Wolff told the show’s co-host Joanna Coles Tuesday, emphasizing its bountiful, “over the top” spread, offering ham, lobster, omelettes and fresh fruit.

The Sunday all-you-can-eat buffet at Mar-A-Lago???

Fresh flippin’ fruit??

While Natalie Harp may very well have gone a year without a security clearance, color me skeptical that she spent that same year without ever having donned [NPI] a pair of elastic waistband sweatpants on a Sunday.

Prove me wrong.

All that and a fly-by with/in/of an airport catering truck. Wow. Insane? Maybe. Probably. But seemingly fairly well fed (when she remembers to eat).

Makes you wonder if she could get two scoops, doesn’t it?

I’d be surprised if the “lobster” was actually lobster.

Off-topic nitpick: This setup was presumed in TV-show etiquette to be appropriately “genteel” primarily because a lot of married couples did sleep in separate (twin) beds in one bedroom in the early to mid-1900s. (My grandparents, for example.)

It was partly a social-class holdover from the Victorian era: upper-class couples generally had separate bedrooms, working-class couples had one bedroom and one bed to share if they were lucky. Having twin beds in a shared bedroom, possibly with separate adjoining dressing-rooms (later reduced to separate closets), was seen as an aspirational middle-class compromise.

It also had practical advantages in terms of keeping one’s distance from a contagiously ill spouse, not being too warm on summer nights pre-AC, etc. Something of an early 20th-c. “hygiene trend”.

As for how couples using separate beds or even separate bedrooms “ever came to have children”… well, the floor’s not lava, you know. And before today’s expectations about couples (and even individuals) absolutely requiring wide beds, it wasn’t perceived as a hardship for couples sometimes even to sleep, not just get frisky, together in a narrow bed.

It was often a source of discreet amusement and/or speculation to servants in grand households to occasionally see His Lordship leaving Her Ladyship’s room in the early morning, or even to find him in her room when her early morning tea was brought in or whatever. Some less grand midcentury folks had similar memories of going into their parents’ room in the morning and finding them asleep in one of the twin beds. .

[/off-topic nitpick]

I had a friend whose parents slept in separate queen size beds in an enourmous bedroom.

They obviously did get frisky from time to time, as they had seven children.

They were fairly wealthy so could afford a massive family and a massive house for them all, plus a massive bedroom.

But back to Ms. Harp, whose near-term future I predict will involve an intimate viewing of the under-side of a bus… besides, her grovelling “love letters” to Trump have too many words in them for him to bother reading.

And she hasn’t come out of the toilet for thee days

Has anybody checked the trunk?

Time to time? Lordy, give her a break!

This is the aspect that should be getting more attention. With their usual disregard for truth the FoxNews and allied folks consistently screech about Ossoff saying something SO LURID AND OUTRAGEOUS—and what he actually said is so mild.

You’d think some Republican voters might be getting tired of the Outrage Playhouse performances.

In re Harp: yes, mental health professionals would likely have some recommendations, were they to be allowed an examination.

Tired of their daily entertainment? And all of those opportunities to feel superior? I doubt it.

It tells me that they all think something untoward is going on. What I’m not sure is if they are being overprotective, or if whoever comes up with the memo for these people actually hates her and wanted it to become a thing, hoping that it would get Trump to drop her like others who get dogged in the news.

It’s certainly an unnatural way of life.

That is quite possible. He really does hate to see other people clogging up the headlines. They are HIS headlines!!!1!!!

He actually mentioned that her mother ate at the buffet with her too. Which indicates that her mother has been spending weekends at Mar-a-lago with her. So that’s a lot.

Ivanka made donald promise he wouldn’t fuck anybody younger than her, so that’s how we know for sure this relationship is purely platonic.

Seriously? I can’t imagine the kind of family in which a woman discusses the subject with her father.

Listen to Donald Trump recount how his 17-year-old daughter made him ‘swear’ not to date someone younger than her | The Week

You don’t get out much. Rich divorced fathers and even those not so rich will very commonly date much younger women. It wouldn’t be secret from their kids. I could easily envision a daughter saying, “Ew, Dad, make sure she’s at least older than I am” either kinda jokingly or kinda not. This is seriously commonplace enough to be mundane.
