I think she’s astonishingly beautiful, and a very good actress as well. I first saw her as the kid in Leon: The Professional too, and soon after that as the kid in Beautiful Girls (loved her line referring to an adult woman, “two words not in her vocabulary: lunch money”) and was duly impressed. She’s had plenty of so-so roles in dodgy movies, but for the most part she’s lived up to her promise.
I really liked her recent roles in Thor and Hesher. She does accessible nerd/geek girls well. Putting those side-by-side with her creepy and ferocious Black Swan, I tend to roll my eyes whenever anyone says she can’t act.
As a straight woman I couldn’t say if she was hot. She seemed pretty hot in Closer.
Natalie Portman, IMO, is still in my top five list of most gorgeous women in the world (the others being variously: Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jennifer Connelly (yes, still!), Neve Campbell etc.) I just dig the ‘long dark brown/black hair & eyebrows and angelic face’ look!
And sure she wasn’t very good in Star Wars, but who the hell was? Even Ewen McGregor couldn’t read Lucas’ stilted wooden ‘typing’ well! And although I haven’t seen Black Swan she’s been great it most other stuff I’ve seen her in.
I think she’s luminous. I voted she should have some cheesecake once in a while, too, but what the heck - she is only four feet tall.
Talking about her acting, I think it’s best if we just gloss over her work with Lucas - it’s well known that George Lucas hates all actors and wants them all to die. I loved her in “V for Vendetta.”

I thought “Beautiful” at first but a brief Google Images scan didn’t produce anything that made my breath hitch or captivated me so “Pretty” (even if really pretty) seems to be it.
I get the impression that she’s a JAP who thinks her shit don’t stink. She’s pretty, and probably intelligent, but I wouldn’t want to wade through the mental concertina to get at it.
I voted pretty, not hot. She has a very nice face, but her body is too skinny to get very far up the hottitude scale.
I think she’s technically a JIP who attended private schools and Harvard.
She also seems to be polite, professional, smart, and super fuckable. What’s not to like?

While I obviously believe she could benefit from a monthly box of ginger snaps, to me facial structure is far more pivotal than body shape in determining hotness. Queen Latifah, for instance, is smoking hot.
Attitude is even more important, of course. And that rarely (never) comes through in stills.
Yeah; sorry to push the envelope :o …I don’t really have anything against her, and in fact, I am glad someone like her is a movie star as opposed to the usual vacuous bimbos.

Pretty, not beautiful. Ann Landers or somebody said (roughly) that when a cute girl walks by, young boys turn to look. When a pretty girl walks by, married men turn to look. When a beautiful woman walks by, other women turn to look.
Now, Anne Hathaway is another story.
Sorry, I chose the Geico option–I had to look her up on IMDB to know why I didn’t remember/know what she looked like. I’ve only seen her in the Star Wars movies (those were a long time ago and I tried to forget them), Vendetta (another film I don’t remember anything about) and that’s about it. I know her name mostly from references to her Erdős number.
Is it me or does she look like something of a cross between Uma THurman and Angelia Jolee? Or is that Ashlee Judd? I can’t keep these mad science experiments straight.
I’m not ignorant; it’s a real phenomena, and though she was born in Israel, she’s lived in the US enough to be considered American… My use of a pejorative term is certainly cause for rebuttal, though, and I have no qualms with that. I’m really sorry to offend in that manner.
I don’t have any particular attraction to her. I dont fantasize about her or anything, like i do with a “hot” celebrity like Kim Kardashian.
I chose “beautiful” though. Her looks are quite striking. She might actually be the most classically beautiful person in Hollywood right now.
