Nathan for You is the most underrated piece of comedy genius on TV now

I can’t express how much I love Nathan for You on Comedy Central and just how GENIUS some of his premises are. For those who don’t know, in the series, Fielder plays an off-kilter version of himself, who tries to use his business background and life experiences to help struggling companies and people, frequently offering them outlandish strategies.

While it seems like mundane comedy, Nathan has heavily hit his stride with his comedy writing. His plans have become more and more manipulative and its crazy to see how much he plays with real people in real life.

I really can’t describe more without spoiling jokes but I really just want to reach out to other people who enjoy this show (or don’t) and to generally spread awareness about this nugget of gold on Comedy Central.

Sounds interesting. I’ll have to check it out next time I’m in the US.

He really is this generation’s Andy Kaufmann and some of the stuff he does would qualify as legitimate serious art that get think pieces written about it if done in a venue that wasn’t a comedy tv show.

I guess I’ll have to check it out some time. I see there are 22 episodes. Are all the early ones worth checking out as well? I do remember when “Dumb Starbucks” opened.

Thought I was the only one watching this…I’ve yet to encounter another person in real life who watches this or has even heard of it. I absolutely love this show.

I’ve been watching it lately, when I remember to record the show in advance. It’s pretty funny. In addition to Dumb Starbucks, he’s also responsible for a video that went viral a couple of years ago of a pig that supposedly rescued a goat stuck in a pond at a petting zoo.

If you want to preview one episode, probably the best one to check out is S01E04, Gas Station/Caricature Artist.

I think this is the first episode I saw and it left me laughing so hard I was gasping for air. The one this past week with the “isolation booth” for kids was so wrong and so, so funny.
