Orlando beats the Celtics by 17 to make it 6 in a row after beating the top two teams in the league in three days. I am starting to think we might be legit.
MN finally lost one. Sacramento came out very strong and was up by 22 at one point in the first half. MN made an amazing comeback to close it to 6 at half-time. Third quarter was miserable, though, and they couldn’t recover a second time.
The Wizard’s “Tank For Nobody Plan” is coming along nicely. They’ve threatened to win a few games here and there, but dutifully laid down in the 4th quarter to lose by 20 every time. They should really be contracted, or forcefully moved or something. Useless, clueless franchise. At least they’re not wasting the careers of any superstars.
They’ve got Detroit tomorrow. See who can stink up the joint worse. This is Washington’s NBA Finals.
Speaking of “tank for nobody”, that whole “fade for Cade” thing did not work out so well either.
Wizards “win.” Guess Detroit just wanted it more. ![]()
The sad thing is the Wizards are genuinely tanking, Detroit should be as far along their rebuild as OKC and Orlando or at least Houston but they are just dire.
MN had an easy win on Sunday, but tonight they meet OKC who is in the #2 spot in the West behind MN. Should be entertaining.
Took out OKC, then destroyed the Jazz despite Edwards sitting it out with a hip point injury. MN is #1 in the West and also #1 in defense. After years of disappointment in Portland, dare I hope for a playoff run?
MN got a lot of shit for that Gobert trade last season, but it certainly seems like a win today.
Yeah, I questioned it myself, especially with the crappy start he got, but the guy had 26 points and 12 rebounds in last night’s win over Charlotte (who put up a good fight). He still has trouble holding onto the ball at times, but he’s putting up solid stats.
Welp, Orlando finally lost after nine in a row. Ironically to Brooklyn, the same team we lost to right before going on the winning streak.
Golden State would be a powerhouse today if they hadn’t completely fumbled all the lottery luck they’ve had in recent years. This team could have Franz Wager, Alperen Sengum, and either Lamelo Ball or Tyrese Haliburton right now.
Their loss is the Pacers’ gain. They can have Tyrese Haliburton when they pry him from my cold dead fingers.
LeBron James now has more points than Larry Bird and Magic Johnson combined, in 16,000 less minutes.
Stephen A. Smith just went on record as saying he begged the Knicks in phone calls to take Tyrese Haliburton and they took Obi Toppin instead. And he’s sooooo upset about it.
Oh, die mad about it, Stephen A.
The battle of the towers last night between Gobert and Wembanyama went to the Stifle Tower, who had 20 rebounds and 16 points to the latter’s 10/12. The Wolves end-of-game push gave them another win over a strong team. Edwards is back in the saddle, putting up 17.
In-season tournament. Does anyone even care? Do the players care? Have you even watched a game?
I’ve not watched any of the games myself. I couldn’t possibly care less.
Most of the games are just regular season games. The players definitely seem stoked about the extra money. I watched the Magic games until they got eliminated.
Yes, absolutely! The Pacers went undefeated in group play and ended up beating the Celtics and Bucks in the first two knockout rounds. We were only scheduled to have one national television game all year, and seeing as how I live in Virginia, that was all I’d be able to watch of them aside from when they faced the Wizards.
Now they’re in the final! And yes, they’re not expected to win, but I’m just happy to be here. BEAT L.A.!
