NBC cancels My Name is Earl

She wound up joining an Amish-type religious group, IIRC, and gave Earl her insurance settlement to carry on working on his list.

This show quickly wore out its welcome after about a season and a half. By the time they sent Earl to prison, it was just completely done in. I’m not sorry to see what was, essentially, simply a rotating cast of weekly Scientology guest star spots off the air.

I think the prison season killed them. This last season got back to their roots pretty well, but I suspect a lot of people had given up.

They were also explaining things too much. I like Crabman being mysterious, and not having his origin put out there so obviously.

I do agree that the prison season was terrible. I kept watching, but was this close to taking it off the recording schedule. I don’t really mind it being gone - it was getting stale for me. I just hope that we get a few good comedies, that is nearly all I watch. I will miss Catalina. Yum!
