NBC's "Bent" is not to my liking...

I had a chance to see a few minutes of an episode of NBC’s Bent, and albeit Joey King was in it (where she did a pretty good job as Charlie), the overall subject matter is not to my liking. Therefore, I’m not seeing any more of it.

Did anyone else see it, and if so, what did you think?

It is to my liking, therefore I shall be watching more of it.

It’s… kinda growing on me. I love Amanda Peet, and her sidekick Screwsie is adorable.

what is the subject matter? tried googling, came up w/ no info.

Heard it debuted to horrible ratings, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Why did it get horrible ratings? Like I said, I thought that Joey did a pretty good job in her role; perhaps it was just a bad vehicle for her (just my guess, though).

Have taped them all but only seen first episode.
OK, sorta.
Will see how the other episodes are but don’t have high hopes.

The title is a bit odd - considering this was the title of the Broadway show/movie about homosexuals in a concentration camp; wonder who thought this would be a great title for a comedy?

I’ve never heard of this show before. From Wiki:

Wow that sounds horrible. Why would a “no nonsense lawyer” hire a total fuck-up to redo her kitchen (and I assume eventually do her)? I assume this is explained in the first episode?

I didn’t bother watching the show mainly because I have never had much use for Amanda Peet. She’s not unattractive, and she’s not an obviously terrible actress. It’s just that whatever quality a person needs to have to make me want to watch him or her act, she doesn’t seem to have it. And it didn’t help that the network appears to be burning episodes off like trash; no reason for me to get heavily invested in a dead show walking.

Modern Family was a rerun so I decided to give it a try. Midway through the episode I decided a MF rerun was far, far better.
