So what happened here. Is WVU not that good? Is ECU better than most expected? Was Billy Stewart really an emotional pick and can’t coach? Only the worst WVU teams have lost to ECU, but #8, expected BCS team, and by 21 points?
ECU outplayed #17 Va Tech last week in a game that was only close due to a pair turnovers that set up easy touchdowns for Va Tech in the first half. I think it’s safe to say that ECU is a hell of a lot better than people think. That and that WVU and Va Tech got ranked based on reputation instead of performance. Of course why they were ranked at all in the 1st and 2nd weeks of the season is for another thread.
At some point, multiple victories over top 25 teams stop being upsets. 
Sadly, unless Virginia’s fortunes change dramatically in the next few weeks, we won’t get to see any more such efforts from ECU unless and until they get into a bowl game. 
The quarterback, Pinkney, is 41 of 51 for 401 yds and 2 TDs. He appears to be much of the source of their current efforts.
