Near Death Experiences

A less than auspicious debut in this forum, Altair. Try to do better in the future.

that sounds kind of like a rough translation of the lumberjack song…

I found your comment interesting, because quite a number of years ago (I forget when) I was listening to National Public Radio. It may or may not have been Science Friday.

Anyway, a psychiatrist was being interviewed, and he mentioned that he discovered a certain substance, which, when administered to his patients, acts as an express form of hypnotherapy (or regression, call it what you wish) and he claimed it was much more effective than the conventional hypnotherapy used by psychiatry, wherein the process is just stretched out forever, wasting both the therapist’s and patient’s time, not to mention the patient’s money.

Subsequently, I found myself speculating to myself, as to whether that substance he was referring to, didn’t have the same chemical properties as that which contributes to NDE’s.

I also wanted to add something which nobody yet mentioned:

I read a few times, that there aren’t just positive NDE experiences, but there are also negative ones. And one of the people who experienced a negative NDE was very frustrated that NDE researchers didn’t see fit to mention the whole truth.

the below is just one of many links you can find via a search for “negative NDE”
